Occassio Ventures is a boutique investor for IP based technology start-ups. Unlike the traditional angel investor we are highly targeted and consider ourselves a partner to drive growth. We are not driven by early divestiture of our investment - we are about patient capital and 'getting our hands dirty'.
Our investments are at pre-seed stage and we will become intimately involved in the direction and operationalisation of the investee company. We are also driven by a deep social good ethos where a proportion of our investment returns are directed towards social 'for good' purposes through our investment trust.

The company delivers contemporary education programs within a social learning and collaboration platform to create community-based learning experiences. Supported by partnerships with TAFEs and Higher Education institutions, iEC leverage education content and the latest thought leadership from leading researchers and industry 'subject matter experts' to support transfer of learning into high impact learning outcomes.
Our mission is unique, but simple – to keep people safe, while supporting efficient building management with spatially accurate floor plans, asset data, and evidence collection. Built on IP licensed from the Queensland Government, Locatrix now provides three emergency management solutions – PlanStudio, PlanSafe, and the Emergency Services Platform (ESP). These products enable clients to achieve and maintain their safety standards when it comes to protecting people across multiple facilities and sites.
HelixIQ Solutions is a technology development and IP commercialisation business. We focus on partnering with corporate and government clients to manage the product development and commercialisation lifecycle involving novel new Intellectual Property.
